What i do.
I am a Project Manager based in Athens. I started in telecommunications as customer support, then moved to field operations and later to project management. Today I manage multiple IT/OT infrastructure, large scale roll-out , cyber security and digital transformation projects for public sector, private companies and industrial customers, working with technical teams, vendors and clients.
Projects almost never go exactly as planned. The scope is rarely fully clear at the start, people see things differently, and there is always something hidden: a requirement nobody wrote down, a site that is different from the documents, a dependency that appears late. I don’t expect a perfect project, and I don’t think a good Project Manager is the one who avoids these problems. It is the one who finds them early, talks about them openly, and helps the all the stakeholders agree on the next step. I try to keep things simple and honest: clear communication, scope and decisions in writing, every change recorded, realistic plans, and no surprises in my reports, even when the news is not good. For me a good Project Manager keeps the project under control when things are not as planned.
I have a PMP certification and I am currently doing an MBA.
